Being long past that stage and being able to look back
and sure having had the benefit of hindsight. I know that my first 8 years were in reality 1 year repeated 8 times.
The biggest problems ? Getting customers, keeping your service levels up
or if you are in a different industry quality products and having enough
money to live from month to month. 

Some say if you believe in yourself and your vision you can make it?
Huh? Confused?? Make it where - if no one knows you exist because
You have no marketing budget, your friends and family connections
Dry up sooner than you think! How is belief in yourself going to get you there
No Guys! You need proper Planning at the outset. A business model
( not a business plan) and a scalable model Model to accommodate growth at that
You need a durable competitive advantage. Durability is what will see you through
You can't just dive into the murky waters without knowing how deep it is? 
Would you allow you child to do that? Then why are you doing that with your
Treasured business, your dream? And how about innovation, mostly that stops once
We've left dream stage and are battling in survival stage. Don't be a statistic!
