Being a member of the ZA Trade Network assisting sme's who need a bankable business plan, and special finance solutions provided me with indept knowledge of the South African market, business opportunities and key obstacles to bridge.
In 2006, I realised that communication in Africa is not a problem which will be fixed purely due to deregulation. The fact that 98% of South Africa's sme's are still lacking broadband access 2 years after deregulation speaks for itself. This condition paralyze business development to such an extend that the only solution is offline media.
During 2007, ZA Trade commissioned me to develop a 3 in 1 electronic media for offline use, assisting with business planning, implementation and development. This media is a new communication platform which do not only familiarises the user with internet in an offline environment, but also enable e-commerce in an offline environment.
The media will be available from February 2008 to member hot spot service providers whom already captured the offline market. Anyone who want to access this media at a specific hot spot but find it not available, can request the service provider to subscribe as member of the ZA Trade network which will enable this value added service to his customers.
